SCHOOLS COMPETITION 2023/2024

Schools compete at provincial league events. Winning High and Primary schools of the provincial league are:

  • Adhere to age group criteria
  • Need to do at least 2 league meetings
  • Minimum of 1 600 points
  • Athletes best league meeting result in his/her age group
  • Add athlete's best league meeting result in the season (take in consideration the criteria for the team total above) & determine the school’s total.
  • High & Primary schools with the highest team total win the provincial league.

 

PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The team can consist of only boys, only girls, or boys and girls mixed.   6 Highest scores based on the category requirements below will be taken into account.

Age groups are u.9, u.11, u.13, u.15, special needs if in one of the age groups (max. 2 000 points).   Minimum 1 x u/9, 1 x u/11, 1 x u/13, 1 x u/5, and the highest points from 2 other athletes in any of the age groups.  Special needs athletes can only be part of the extra athletes.

Schools are not disqualified if a team is less than 6 athletes – and can still participate.   School teams can consist of any number of team members.

 

 HIGH SCHOOLS

The team can consist of only boys, only girls, or boys and girls mixed.   6 Highest scores based on the category requirements below will be taken into account.

Age groups are u.15, u.17, u.19, special needs if in one of the age groups (max. 2 000 points).   Minimum qualifying criteria per category: 1 x u/15, 1 x u/17, 1 x u/19, the highest points from 2 athletes in any of the age groups   Special needs athletes can only be part of the extra athletes.

 Schools are not disqualified if the team is less than 6 athletes – can still participate.   School teams can consist of any number of team members.  Special needs athletes can participate in school’ competitions in their respective age groups – max. of 2,000 points per special needs athlete.
